Its design was inspired by, but not attributed to a colonial pewter piece found in an antique store in Boston over 40 years ago. The simplicity of form combining round into square fit in with Traditional pieces but was highly adaptable to more contemporary styles.
It is the original, quintessential, "transitional" piece in the Wilton Armetale product collection line since the early 1960s, and yet the design is believed to be 18th century.
The Boston collection, previously included 10 contemporary functional shapes. Now it offers many more choices and combinations with the addition of the wooden serving pieces. Crafted using "acacia" wood, these pieces are designed to adapt perfectly to their metal counterparts.
